Job description

Join Allied Telesis as a Graduate Web Application Software Developer to build advanced network management software in a collaborative Agile environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing :

  • Develop front and back-end web applications for advanced networking equipment.
  • Extend existing Allied Telesis web-based management technologies and develop next-generation network management systems and tools.
  • Work within the Web Application Development team using the MEAN stack and ELK stack technologies.
  • Collaborate in a scrum team environment guided by certified scrum masters.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with :

  • Basic understanding of the web ecosystem including HTTP, web browsers, and client-server interactions.
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, Ember, or Backbone.
  • Some experience in server-side web development using languages like JavaScript, Java, C#, or Go.
  • Experience designing RESTful systems.
  • Commitment to and understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Preferred but not essential : experience with CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS), TDD in JavaScript, pairing, and document-oriented databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based environment.
