Learning support coordinator

We are seeking a learning support coordinator to champion inclusive education, build capability across our school, and create a strong, culturally responsive pastoral support network for our students, staff and whānau.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the provision of learning support across the school.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to identify student needs, plan targeted programmes and monitor progress.
• Ensure every child receives the guidance and resources they need to achieve their potential by working closely with students, teachers, whānau, school leaders and external agencies.
• Provide support to individual students or groups of students when targeted or tailored supports are needed.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families to create a supportive learning environment.
• Support learners with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
• Organise and oversee the professional learning of teacher aides.
• Work with the leadership team to strengthen school-wide learning support systems and contribute to creating inclusive practices for all learners.

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
