The Opportunity
We are looking for two ComplianceOfficer – Biosecurity / Senior Compliance Officer – Biosecurity to join our EnvironmentalImplementation team on permanent, full-time, (37.5 hours per week) basis, inour busy Dunedin, Alexandra or Oamaru office(s). We welcome all skilllevels, both entry level and senior experience, with details covered below forwhat the team is after. In this role you will be play a key role in settingand upholding compliance expectations across the region.
The purpose of this position isto lead and deliver high quality, legally robust, and technically soundbiosecurity compliance services on behalf of the Otago Regional Council. Thisrole operates under the legislative framework of the Biosecurity Act 1993 andthe Otago Regional Pest Management Plan, with a clear mandate to uphold andenforce the Council's statutory responsibilities in a way that protects Otago'senvironment, biodiversity, economy and communities.
