Corporate / ECM Senior Solicitor

Overview

As a key member of our Auckland Corporate team, you will be working with powerhouse Partner, Roger Wallis, across a broad range of corporate transactions including public market mergers and acquisitions, equity capital market transactions, business reorganisations, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Recent work highlights

• Advising Precinct on its $310m placement underwritten by Jarden, Forsyth Barr and UBS, and its non-underwritten share purchase plan retail offer.
• Advising Mohawk Industries Inc on its acquisition by scheme of arrangement of NZX Listed Bremworth for $52.5m.
• Advising EBOS Group on its placement underwritten by UBS and its retail offer to raise up to $272m.
• Advising a consortium of Northland Regional Council, Port of Tauranga and Ngāpuhi Investment Fund (Tupu Tonu) to acquire NZX-listed Marsden Maritime Holdings by scheme of arrangement.
• Advising Arvida Group on its NZ$1.243b scheme of arrangement with global infrastructure fund Stonepeak.

Recognition and practice

The firm also advised on three of the winning deals at the 2024 New Zealand Law Awards, had 12 deals recognised with Excellence awards; was named as 2024 NZ Firm of the Year by the KangaNews Awards and the IFLR Asia Pacific Awards, and the 2025 Chambers NZ Law Firm of the Year.
