Job Description

Deliver day-to-day technology and audio-visual support for a high-quality teaching and learning experience.

Deploy and support hybrid teaching technology (e.g., Zoom) supporting either fully virtual classrooms or a hybrid of live and virtual combined.

Conduct short orientation sessions to familiarize teaching staff with NUS classroom teaching software and equipment; develop written training materials.

Provide invigilation and in-person support for digital assessments / examinations.

Extend support during on-campus events, contributing to set-up and technical execution.

Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure seamless teaching and learning; track projector lamp hours and update software.

Proactively identify and resolve potential technical issues; gather feedback from faculty on desired classroom technology.

Renew and enhance classroom systems, staying updated on relevant technologies.

Generate reports to supervisors on equipment state and recommend replacements.

Propose new and innovative technology and software to aid teaching and learning in collaboration with faculty.

Qualifications

Diploma in Audio-Visual Technology or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 year of working experience in classroom or meeting room AV support and / or similar technical support environment.

Knowledge of audio-visual equipment, classroom systems, and educational technology.

Good technical background with hands-on experience in Windows OS, Mac OS, and Microsoft Office 365.

Understanding of video capture and video management system.

Knowledge of network camera recording system.

Highly committed and good service-oriented attitude.

Experience coordinating with vendors for AV installation projects is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for user training and support.

Team player, able to work independently, make informed decisions, and elevate when necessary.

Flexibility to provide support during on-campus events and exams on weekdays or weekends.
