Head Chef
We are seeking a Head Chef to take full creative and operational ownership of the kitchen at Hamilton Hotel Public Bar & Bistro . This is not just a cooking job; it’s a leadership role where you control the menu, finances, team culture, and contribute to a great guest experience. You
You get Autonomy : Full control over your menu design and kitchen operations.
You get Support : You report directly to the General Manager / Co-Owner and liaise with the wider Overproof team on procurement and group initiatives.
You Build Culture : You are expected to ensure the experience the team provides is top-tier, genuinely engaging with staff. Our people are key.
Experience / Skills
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced leader who possesses both kitchen and business know-how :
Experience : Ideally, 5 years of experience in the industry, with at least 3 years in a similar Head Chef role .
Leadership : Strong, inspiring leadership and mentoring skills.
Talent : Exceptional culinary talent with a passion for creating high-quality, unpretentious food.
The business : The ability to use balanced judgement and make well-assessed decisions for the company.
Communication : Maintain the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, even under stressful or confrontational circumstances.
