About the Role – Te Arotahi Matua

We are seeking a Senior Website Developer to join our Te Kuru team and lead the development and support of our websites. This is a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence and delivering exceptional user experiences.

You will :

• Lead complex multi-site upgrades, platform transitions, and infrastructure modernisation.
• Set technical direction , mentor developers, and ensure best practice coding standards.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on strategic planning and digital initiatives.
• Ensure websites are secure, scalable, and optimised for performance and user experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in website development and leadership.
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, APIs, responsive design, and cloud services.
• Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and SEO principles.
• Experience with version control (Git) and agile methodologies.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or similar.
• A willingness to embrace Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga, and te reo Māori.
