We are looking for a manager to lead our team of passionate and professional Supervising and Consultant Arborists, ensuring that they are providing high quality of arboricultural advice to a broad range of clients. Your Responsibilities
Leading the Consultancy function at Treetech, ensuring that all consultancy services within the business are managed and undertaken in a professional manner, delivering upon the clients need to an exceptionally high standard.
Focus on developing a strategic plan to grow the Consultancy function to be market ready.
Lead the implementation of the strategic plan, by delivering on all tasks to successfully enter the PHC market and become leaders in the industry.
An in-depth understanding of district plans and compliancy requirements.
Assist Consulting Arborist’s with completion of existing contracts including tree evaluations, tree inventories, arboriculture reports, tree impact analysis, mitigation measure formulation, and related arboriculture tasks.
An expert knowledge of plant health care – pests, diseases and abiotic issues diagnostic and management.
Your skills and experience
Level 6 NZQA Diploma in Arboriculture (or equivalent such as BS, MS or PhD in arboriculture, urban forestry or related natural resources fields with relevant experience)
Additional arboricultural and / or urban forestry credentials are a plus such as ISA Certified Arborist, BCMA, TRAQ, QTRA, Registered Consulting Arborist, pesticide applicator license etc.
An understanding of tree biology, arboriculture and urban forestry principles.
Experience implementing international best management practices, specifications and standards, tree policies, relevant tree regulations, legal issues and quality assurance practices.
Excellent tree and plant species identification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical report writing experience.
Proficient using Microsoft office suite, GIS technology and willingness to learn other technology as required.
Candidate must have a high level of initiative, leadership capability, strong organization, planning and problem-solving skills.
