Storage & Donation Collection Volunteer – Thames

Why this role matters

Our Op Shop teams play a vital role in Thames — selling affordable pre-loved goods, recycling more to reduce waste, and raising funds for local services and community initiatives. Behind the scenes, our storage shed keeps everything running smoothly. We’re looking for volunteers to help sort donations, tidy and organise the shed, and operate the ragging machine. You’ll be part of a friendly, hands-on team, lending a hand and making sure everything runs like clockwork. The shed is just a couple of minutes from the store, so it’s easy to get involved.

What the role involves :

• Assisting with the pick-up and delivery of donated goods in Thames.
• Helping to organise and maintain the storage shed, keeping it clean and tidy.
• Operating the ragging machine to recycle cotton clothing (Training Provided).
• Lifting, moving, and handling furniture and other larger items (a reasonable level of physical fitness is needed).
