Te Taumata o Ngāti Whakaue Iho Ake Trust are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Support person to join our Education Services team. You will play a vital role in supporting our Attendance Services team to deliver high-quality administrative and operational support for tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau, helping improve school attendance outcomes across our community.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Attendance Services team
Maintain accurate and confidential records, case files, and reports in line with organisational and Ministry of Education requirements
Prepare correspondence, documentation, and meeting materials
Manage communications including emails, phone calls, and referrals
Support the coordination of hui, wānanga, and professional development sessions
Assist with data entry, monitoring attendance trends, and generating regular reports
Liaise with schools, whānau, and partner organisations in a professional and culturally responsive way
Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity across all administrative tasks
About you
You are a strong communicator and problem-solver who enjoys supporting others and keeping things organised. You will also bring :
Proven experience in administration, coordination, or office support
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, and database systems)
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
Professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality in all matters
Understanding of or willingness to learn Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Reo Māori
A positive, adaptable attitude and collaborative working style
A qualification in social services, education, or administration is desirable but not essential, as experience in related roles will also be highly valued.
