Kiwi Lumber is a privately owned, growingand progressive sawmilling company marketing Radiata Pine to the USA,Australia, Europe, Asia and New Zealand markets. The group currently employeesover 500 staff across five production sites located in Masterton, Dannevirke,Ohinewai, Putaruru and Gisborne.

THE ROLE

As a Despatch Assistant, you’ll play a key part in coordinating the movement oftimber products from the yard to our customers. You’ll work closely with the despatchteam, production staff, and drivers to ensure orders are accurate, safelyloaded, and delivered on time. The role of despatch is varied and not totallyoffice bound. The interaction between yard staff and office helps in gainingunderstanding of continuous improvement needed to grow our business.

Anindicative pay range is $27.00 to $32.00 per hour and you will be required towork from 7.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

• Prepare and check customer ordersfor despatch
• Maintain accurate despatchrecords and paperwork
• Coordinate with drivers, sales,and yard teams
• Ensure products are labelled,stacked, and stored correctly
• Quality Checks of orders
• Truck checks – Ensuring the rightpackets are on the truck prior to leaving
• General yard duties as required

You’ll also have a positive, can-do attitude, with the ability toundertake work in a safe and efficient way to ensure our health and safety,quality standards and production requirements are met.
