Y1 teacher – Team Leader or Curriculum Leadership

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

We have an exciting position available for a Y1 teacher to join our team, with an attached FTU to lead either our Y1–2 Team or Junior School Literacy . (Please note : The teaching role commences term 1, Week 6, 2026, while the fixed‑term leadership position runs from term 2 until the end of 2026).

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic NZ registered teacher to join our friendly staff. Experience in the Junior primary area is essential. Applicants must be committed to upholding our school’s vision for excellence and enhancing our T.R.U.E values.

An understanding of Structured Literacy (specifically iDeal) would be an advantage. Experience in Assessment for Learning, the refreshed English and Mathematics Curriculum, and / or Oxford Maths resources is also highly desirable.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
