We are a young and energetic team of 16 programmers and system integrators within an engineering department of 25+ and counting, we’re made up of entry level engineers tackling PLC troubleshooting and maintenance, up to senior engineers carrying out consulting and implementation of plant wide SCADA systems, robotics, and leading-edge PLC based systems. Our primary customers range from FMCG to primary industries- anything industrial. Other services in our department vary between Hazardous area classification, Instrument Calibration, and machine safety Risk Assessments. We support our wider company’s installation and service departments whilst also managing our own projects internally and offer our customers a 24 / 7 call-out service which our automation team are all a part of. We offer support to OEMs and end users and are lucky to experience the best of both worlds with minimal travel outside of Auckland. We are looking for an experienced senior automation engineer who can fit in well with our team and work between multiple engineering disciplines and proejcts, if you’re looking for career growth in a stable environment, we have the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Eplan documentation, as-built mark ups through to control system electrical design from the ground up.
- PLC programming, troubleshooting through to consulting directly with clients on retrofit or greenfield projects.
- OEM and End-User On-site Support, with shortages in personnel and travel being a little difficult, we often seconder engineers to assist with programming and commissioning production lines, local and the occasional international opportunity.
- SCADA programming, maintenance and projects of any size.
- Mechatronics, modifying existing Motion Controllers through to design and specification of Robotics and Motion-PLC integrated equipment.
- Machine safety, troubleshooting, design and validation of integrated safety systems.
- Networking for Operation Technology systems and IT convergence.
- Industrial and Computer Vision systems for inspection and verification in manufacturing.

Tertiary qualified in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree or experience gained from delivering technical projects.Current Electrical Practising License or strong familiarity with ASZNS : 3000 : 2018 New Zealand Wiring Rules.Experience in PLC and HMI programming for industrial applications, preferably with Siemens S7, Rockwell Studio5000, Schneider Control Expert, and Omron Sysmac Studio.Familiarity with SCADA systems such as Inductive Automation- Ignition, AVEVA System Platform, and Rockwell Factory Talk View Studio.High capability with instrumentation, motor controls, and machine safety systems.Familiarity with Industrial Networks.Strong communication skills and experience with being customer facing.Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.Our Company
