This is a great opportunity to build your policy career in a team that’s helping shape the future of Napier. As a Policy Analyst in our Strategy and Policy team, you’ll contribute to work that makes a real difference — supporting projects and plans that influence how our city grows, how we care for our environment, and how we support community wellbeing.
Every day brings variety. You might be researching emerging issues, analysing data to support new policy proposals, preparing reports for Council, or helping design engagement processes that ensure our community’s voice is heard. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues who will help you strengthen your analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting ideas and people — someone curious, adaptable, and motivated to see how evidence, engagement, and good governance come together to shape great outcomes for Napier. It’s a chance to grow your capability while being part of a supportive and collaborative team that values creativity, learning, and purpose.
