Mechanical Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Engineering team at DE Group (DEG) as a Mechanical Engineer. Working in a full‑time, office‑based role in either Timaru or Christchurch, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to help deliver innovative engineering solutions to our clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, develop and implement mechanical engineering projects
• Conducting research, analysis and testing to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
• Preparing detailed technical drawings, specifications and reports to support project delivery
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and sharing knowledge with the wider team
