This suitable candidate will ....
- Lead and coordinate the delivery and resourcing of learning support across the school
- Work collaboratively with teachers to identify student needs, plan targeted programmes and monitor progress
- Understands inclusive practices and learning support systems
- Ensure every child receives the guidance and resources they need to achieve their potential by working closely with students, teachers, whānau, school leaders and external agencies
- Provide support to individual students or groups of students when targeted or tailored supports are needed
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families to create a supportive learning environment
- Support learners with diverse learning and behavioural needs
- Organise and oversee the professional learning of teacher aides
- Work with the leadership team to strengthen school-wide learning support systems and contribute to creating inclusive practices for all learners.
