Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic

We are a family owned and operated company with workshops in Auckland & Christchurch, we have 2 roles available for diesel mechanics with experience on trucks & trailers to work in our busy and growing Christchurch workshop specialising in fleet maintenance across multiple brands. There are roles available for both morning and evening shifts.

In this varied position where you will be predominantly working on heavy vehicles such as trucks, trailers and machinery of all makes and models no two days will be the same. From day to day servicing, preventive maintenance, pre COF checks, diagnostics, parts exchange, rebuilding components and breakdowns you will be required to work independently in a confident and competent manner.

You will be passionate about your role as a diesel mechanic and conscious of the role requirements and the risks involved. You will also have excellent communication and organisation skills. You will have experience in all of the aspects listed above and a complete understanding of vehicles.

You will need either a Level 4 relevant qualification or at least 3 years’ relevant work experience. The role is Monday to Friday along with rostered Saturdays (half day) with a minimum 40 hours of work.

Our salary ranges from $34 p / h to $45 p / h depending on skills and experience.
