AFFCO Imlay is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer / Service Technician for their Plant located in Whanganui.

In this role, you are responsible for the day to day running and monitoring of all refrigeration and cooling appliances and related devices based on site, and also researching and investigating continuous improvement opportunities.

As the Refrigeration Engineer / Service Technician, your key tasks involve :

• Daily monitoring of boilers, routine freezer defrosting and testing of water treatment;
• Ensure all fittings, electrical and seals are in line with business need and performing at acceptable levels;
• Management of any breakdowns and repair faults in a timely and efficient manner;
• Routine testing, adjusting and balancing of systems and processes to ensure efficiency;

Promoting and complying with Health & Safety practices for themselves and those around them.

The successful candidate will have appropriate qualification / s and experience in Refrigeration Engineering; as well as the following :

Availability for a rostered, rotating shift.
