Position

Physics Subject Matter Expert – Contract.

Compensation : $65–$75 per hour.
Location : Remote.
Commitment : 15–20 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities

Collaborate asynchronously with a team of experts in Physics.

Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.

Elevate the quality of AI models by integrating domain expertise.

Work independently to improve AI model performance.

Ensure high-quality outputs in Physics through rigorous problem solving.

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Physics from a top U.S. university.

Experience coding in Python and MATLAB for projects or research.

Field-specific experience in Condensed Matter Physics, Optics, Quantum Information / Computing, Computational Physics, Astrophysics, or Particle Physics.

High attention to detail.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent proficiency in English.

Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, U.K., or Australia.

Start Date

Compensation & Legal

Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.
