What does a Pest Plant Operator do, you ask?

In a nutshell, you will manage vegetation and pest plant activities within the region’s parks and reserves. Day‑to‑day duties include chemical spraying and application of herbicides, manual weed removal, operating spray equipment / machinery, and supporting other teams as required.

Who we are looking for

Ideally, we would love someone who has pest plant management experience; however, this is not a must. We seek a hard worker with a passion for outdoor work and a “get‑it‑done” attitude. Other success factors include :

• A clean and current driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual
• A current GrowSafe Certificate
• Being a team player who readily helps teammates
• Adhering to the company’s health and safety procedures
• Motivation and strong desire to complete tasks efficiently
• Physical fitness, as the role involves a lot of walking and heavy lifting
