James Cook High School is a diverse and vibrant learning community committed to doing the very best for our students. Our current roll of over 1,700 students has grown considerably in 2025. We are looking for a full time, permanent te reo Māori teacher. Our kura provides education for the multicultural diversity of Manurewa.
James Cook High School is a school with sustained improvements across a wide range of metrics, including improving learning, engagement and achievement.
We are seeking an enthusiastic New Zealand registered teacher with experience to continue improvement at our kura. Candidates should have empathy and understanding towards our students and their culture as well as the ability to create flexible and ongoing assessment practices for students.
Successful applicants will demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the New Zealand Curriculum and teaching pedagogies. This is for 2026 start. Please state your strengths.
