About the Role

Te Uru Rauhī, Mental Health and Addiction Services provides an effective and efficient high quality patient focused service to Service Users and their family / whanau and administrative services to Ward 21 – Acute Inpatient Services in a timely and professional manner.

While each administrator / clerical support person is a member of an identified Interdisciplinary Mental Health Addiction Team operating from a specific site of service delivery, she / he is an employee of Te Uru Rauhī Mental Health and Addiction Directorate. In order to maintain the Service's commitment to Service User responsiveness; one team approach, shared roles, flexibility, co-operation and mobility are essential requisites in order to meet demands of the Service.

Our services are moving towards a wellness and recovery-focused approach that encourages interconnectedness socially, spiritually, physically and environmentally and encompasses the aspirations to achieve ‘WAIORA' flourishing individuals, whānau, and communities. This new service model delivery approach will support the achievement of whānau whaiora.

As an experienced professional administrator, you will be seeking this exciting and varied role supporting the leaders and services achieve this new model of care.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need :

  • Experience in administration team environment
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly Windows, Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Touch Typist
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to connect and collaborate at all levels including senior leaders, external partners and frontline employees
  • Excellent word processing skills with a strong command of English, including grammar and spelling
  • To be a team player, have a good sense of humour, be enthusiastic and have a can‑do attitude
