Aboutthe Role

TheRural Adult Community Psychiatric Service has a vacancy for a registered nursewith mental health experience to join their community team on a full-time permanent basis.

TheRural team provides an assessment and treatment service for tāngata whaiora(consumers) experiencing mental illnesses and works closely with their whānau(family) - both in the community and alongside inpatient services.It is a sought-after position due to the Rural nature ofthe work.

The Ruralteam covers an area between the Clarence River (Kaikoura) to the north and downto the Rakaia River in the South. Youwill be embedded in a supportive multi-disciplinary team based at FergussonBuilding at Hillmorton Hospital. The position will involve travel using a TeWhatu-Ora vehicle.

This role is a fixed term, full time position covering parental leave until the 23rd June 2026.

Interacting with a variety of stakeholders, you willhave an ability to effectively manage and prioritise a caseload in a casemanagement position.
