We’re looking for experienced Complaints Assessors and Senior Complaints Assessors to join a small, highly collaborative team, where your ability to think critically, communicate with care, and manage complex information will make a genuine difference to people’s lives.

The Opportunity

As a Complaints Assessor, you’ll assess and progress complaints with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgement. You will be engaging with both consumers and providers to understand what’s happened, analyse evidence, and support fair, timely outcomes.

As a Senior Complaints Assessor, you’ll take on more complex cases and play a mentoring role within the team. You will be modelling best practice and helping ensure quality, consistency, and clarity in how complaints are handled.

Qualifications

• Experience in complaints handling, investigations, regulatory work, or decision-making within health, public sector, or related settings (ideal but not essential).
• Strong critical thinking and written communication skills, able to analyse information objectively and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Professional maturity and resilience – comfortable managing sensitive or complex issues while maintaining empathy and composure.
• Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from consumers and whānau to clinicians, advisors, and legal professionals.
• For the senior roles, demonstrated ability to support others and model high‑quality casework.
