Senior Facade Engineer

Our team of more than 750 highly skilled people, in 15 offices across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Middle East, design and deliver engineering solutions for clients in the Property, Transport, Ports and Marine, Water, Renewables and Defence sectors.BG&E New Zealand has three offices (Whangarei, Auckland, and Christchurch), and the primary focus is the building and infrastructure space.We collaborate with leading contractors, developers, architects, planners, financiers and government agencies, to create projects that make a difference to people's lives.About the RoleWe have an opportunity for a talented Senior Façade Engineer to join the growing Christchurch team.

To succeed in this role, you will have proven technical understanding of façade structures, secondary structures, and refurbishments of existing façade structures.If you are an enthusiastic and driven individual who is wanting to be part of a growing team, then this is the role for you.

This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of global façade team while working in a tight knit Christchurch office with great opportunities for career progression.Key technical responsibilities will include :

• Responsible for the facade design, management, delivery and implementation of complex multi- disciplinary projects.
• Primary aim is on delivering projects of the highest quality, that are cost effective and delivered as the best solution to the client and the project.
• Review contractor submissions; shop drawings and calculations
• Undertake materials and products research, liaising with suppliers and contractors
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally at a high level working with developers and architects.
• Have a clear understanding of the key Standards and Codes to the relevant line of work.

Proficient in NZ codes and on the path to be registered with the Auckland Council.
