About the role
Are you a specialist geriatrician who is innovative, dynamic and looking for an exciting opportunity to work with older people in a progressive team environment? If so, our Older People’s Health Service at Dunedin Hospital would welcome your application. We are seeking to employ a locum (up to 1.0 FTE) Geriatrician to join our experienced team of geriatricians, nurses (including nurse practitioners), and allied health professionals as we prepare to move into the new Dunedin Hospital.
About us
Our service currently provides clinical leadership and support to a combination of inpatient, outpatient and community services to the elderly in the Dunedin and Otago District. Using a team approach, we provide comprehensive services for people with complex age‑related health problems. We maintain a close liaison with all other hospital and community services. There is an on‑call and weekend roster for our SMO team working 1 : 5.

About you
A requirement of the position is that you must currently hold or be able to hold Vocational / Specialist Registration in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
