The Role and Requirements :

As the Senior Systems Software Developer, this role leads the development of the organisation’s Warehouse Management System as it transitions from a vendor‑managed solution to full internal ownership. It is the first in‑house development position and will suit someone who enjoys stepping into an existing codebase, making sense of inherited structure, and taking responsibility for both maintaining and improving a critical operational platform.

• Reviewing the current source code and understanding how the WMS components, data structures, and workflows fit together
• Designing and developing new functionality to support evolving warehouse and logistics operations
• Managing integrations across the broader technology ecosystem including automation control systems, transport management systems, billing engines, reporting dashboards, and customer portals
• Bringing structured development practices into the organisation as the internal capability is established ahead of the 2026 handover
