One Tree Hill College seeks an enthusiastic and well‑organised Gateway Programme Coordinator to join our dynamic Careers team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students by helping them gain valuable workplace experience and develop pathways to future employment. In this part‑time role, you will play a pivotal part in coordinating and delivering our renowned Gateway programme, which provides secondary school students with valuable work‑based learning opportunities. You will be responsible for liaising with local businesses, organising student placements, and ensuring the successful implementation of this impactful programme.

This position is part time, 5 days a week, 8 : 45am - 2 : 45pm. There is some flexibility with the hours of work.

What you’ll be doing

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with local businesses to secure work placement opportunities for students
• Liaising effectively with students, parents, employers, and staff to arrange and support workplace placements
• Matching students to suitable work placements based on their interests and learning objectives
• Coordinating the administrative aspects of the Gateway programme, including student enrolment, placement agreements, and record‑keeping
• Providing support and guidance to participating students, monitoring their progress, and liaising with their schools
• Organising and delivering work‑readiness training workshops for students
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the Gateway programme and suggesting improvement
