Kapiti College seeks a motivated and skilled teacher to join our fantastic junior school team for term 1, 2026. This is a full‑time permanent position. We are looking for an individual who can confidently teach Y9–10 classes in health, social science, literacy and numeracy.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum (especially Levels 4–5), a commitment to teaching the basics brilliantly through structured literacy, the explicit teaching of numeracy, and evidence‑based practice, and a proven ability to develop students’ academic progress, wellbeing and hauora. They will bring energy, purpose and expertise to the classroom, helping students master foundational knowledge and skills while developing critical thinking, self‑management, and the confidence to make positive life choices.
