Duties

Collect and deliver goods responsibly and timely, per schedule.

Work from a relationship perspective, where partnership and teamwork is characterised by mutual trust, integrity, respect, transparency and commitment.

Maintain company vehicles, including up-to-date WOF and registrations; assist with stock management and warehouse upkeep.

Train, supervise and support Mission volunteers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

Process donations per Mission policies and procedures, including declining inappropriate donations with grace.

Skills

Previous experience in a similar role.

Class 1 Driver's Licence with F-endorsement Forklift Licence.

Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting.

Commitment to embodying the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi in organisational practice.

Empathy and understanding of issues of trauma, mental health, addiction, poverty and homelessness.

Skills, experience and knowledge may also be obtained from a number of different experiences.

For example, from paid work, voluntary work, work undertaken within your Church, Marae, or from specific iwi / whanau responsibilities.
