Senior Advisor, Strategy

Fixed-term position for 18 months. Location : Wellington CBD.

As part of the Civil Aviation Authority, you will help shape the future of aviation by setting the strategic direction of an organization that keeps New Zealand skies safe and connected.

What You Will Do

• Work in partnership with key teams across the CAA to implement strategy and organisational plans. Translate complex information into clear, concise narrative for a wide range of audiences.
• Support the development and writing of key strategic and statutory documents.
• Provide high-quality strategic advice based on system risk and intelligence that informs decision‑making across CAA.
• Co‑ordinate the CAA’s strategic planning and reporting cycle, and support business planning.
• Plan and carry out specific exemption projects to align our exemptions with the new Civil Aviation Act, including summarising complex technical information for decision makers.

What You Will Bring

Salary band : $115,536 to $141,751, based on knowledge, skills and experience.
