This service empowers kiritaki and their whanau to build the capacity to live well with a strong emphasis on holistic support.In this role, you'll provide clinical guidance, advice and support to the Housing First leaders and teams ensuring the delivery of safe and effective services including clinical case reviews, supervision and critical incident reviews.
Your work will be guided by the Te Ao Maori principles of Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Rangatiratanga and Kaitiakitanga and grounded in the Housing First philosophy – to help people find and sustain stable housing in the community.
You will need to be confident supporting and working alongside non-clinical and clinical staff and provide oversight into high quality support planning, crisis and risk management and documentation utilising your knowledge and skills in mental health.
You may carry a small case load leading the support of individuals with high and complex needs and co-existing problems, many of whom face intergenerational challenges, mental health issues, addiction, and trauma.This is a chance to grow your skills and knowledge in the areas of housing and homelessness, while being part of an innovative and expanding service where fresh ideas are welcomed and creative solutions are the norm.We'd love to hear from registered Mental Health Nurses with a current practicing certificate, a range of experience in the mental health and social sectors and particularly (but not necessarily) with experience in housing and residential recovery services.
Ideally you will have : 5+ years' experience, Relevant Mental Health Nursing qualification, registration and a current annual practicing certificate.
Preferably leadership experience or similar role.Strong communication and relationship building skills, you'll quickly build credibility while showcasing your sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills.Experience in supervision, assessment, support planning, and Risk and crisis management, within a community setting.Developing people centred support and goal plans using a range of assessment tools and relevant theories and models.An extensive understanding of the Housing First Principles.An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure will be complemented by excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record keeping.Understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o WaitangiA full New Zealand driving license is also essential.Closing Date| Ra Katinga : 10 December
