Job description
The Communications Manager will lead and execute strategic communications for the Medical and NV businesses across Asia Pacific. This role supports business objectives through internal and external communications, issues and crisis management, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Strategic Communications Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement communications strategies aligned with divisional goals to promote and protect Stryker’s business and reputation among internal and external audiences.
- Bring external insights into the business, shape and refine strategies to enhance communications outcomes.
- Identify gaps and implement processes to improve communications effectiveness.
- Share communications best practices with businesses, including communications strategies and plans to drive greater consistency and effectiveness.
Internal Communications
Craft and deliver compelling internal messages to support employee engagement such as divisional strategy and vision, leadership updates, organizational shifts.Lead town halls, newsletters, strategic planning, leadership forums, annual sales meetings, and other key internal meetings.Develop, maintain and optimize internal channels and ensure connectivity to rest of the company.External communications
Manage external inquiries and media relationships across APAC, with a focus on medtech and healthcare.Lead / support Divisional comms campaigns and initiatives targeted at external audiences, working in partnership with Marketing.Liaise with global teams to manage digital and social media content.Issues and crisis communications management
Support the company’s efforts to identify and manage reputational issues in the business.Stay connected to company-level crisis management team, plans and protocols.Lead crisis communications response in the event of issues and crises.Implement crisis management tools and best practices and identify opportunities for evolving.Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with commercial, cross‑functional teams and global communications team to implement strategic communications programs aligned with divisional and business goals.Executive Visibility
Counsel senior leaders on high‑impact external engagement opportunities.Shape messaging and other content for senior leaders for internal and external activities.Write and edit high‑impact content for various internal and external channels, such as newsletters, messages from VP / GMs, townhall presentations.Track and report on communications effectiveness using KPIs and analytics.Continuously optimize strategies based on insights and feedback.Others
Work collaboratively with communications leads in and outside of APAC to build communications capabilities and advance opportunities that impact business goals.Manage third party communication consultants and agency partners as needed.Hold excellent standards on quality of work and thinking.Work independently with resourcefulness and superb project management skills.Bring great energy to the work and inspire trust and credibility among teams and wider stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications (required)
8+ years of work experienceExcellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelinesAbility to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authorityDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications
