Te Aroha Primary School, nestled under beautiful Mt Te Aroha, is seeking a caring, capable junior-school teacher to cover a maternity leave position for terms 1 and 2, 2026 . You’ll join a supportive team committed to warm relationships, calm consistent routines, and strong early foundations for learning.

This role sits in our junior school (Y2-3) . We’re looking for someone who creates a settled classroom, builds great partnerships with whānau, and uses clear assessment to guide next steps.

What we value (and you’ll bring) :

• NZ Teacher Registration with a current practising certificate; strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum in the early years.
• Confident early literacy and numeracy practice; Structured Literacy training and PRIME Mathematics experience are highly desirable .
