Hours : 37.5 hours per week
Shift times : Monday – Sunday based on internal rotation; flexible to work days, nights and weekends
Salary : Competitive depending on experience plus 9% shift allowance
About the role : Join the Acute Assessment Unit at The Wellington Hospital. The Acute Admissions service is an instant, clinical referral system for patients requiring urgent medical / surgical consultant review. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate high standards of nursing care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the referral service, ensuring patients are assessed, treated, referred and discharged according to the case.
- Depute for Senior Staff Nurses in their absence, maintaining high patient care standards.
- Participate in consultant ward rounds and communicate effectively at all levels within the multidisciplinary team.
- Initiate improvements and developments in clinical issues and delivery of care.
- Document all aspects of patient care and report incidents and complaints, participating in thorough investigations and responses.
What You’ll Bring
