Hydrologist Graduate (Start ASAP)

Pattle Delamore Partners Limited seeks a Hydrologist / Groundwater Scientist / Flood Modeller with Python expertise to develop innovative environmental solutions across New Zealand.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing :

• Create, build, and maintain innovative Python scripts and modules for hydrology, groundwater, and flood modelling applications.
• Develop Python-based spatial analysis tools and work with GIS software (ArcGIS / QGIS).
• Undertake data analysis and assessments related to surface water, groundwater, ecology, and other water resource projects.
• Assist with hydraulic / flood modelling and groundwater studies for river systems and catchments.
• Conduct hydrological investigations including baseline studies and assessments for hydro-electric generation, irrigation, and public water supplies.
• Assist with development and deployment of telemetered data collection solutions.
• Develop and maintain environmental databases and Python-based applications and tools.
• Write technical reports and contribute to proposals.
• Conduct fieldwork including surface water and groundwater monitoring; business travel may be required.
