About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health Team as Clinical Leader in Occupational Therapy.
As Clinical Leader you will provide day-to-day clinical, professional, and cultural leadership to the Occupational Therapy team ensuring equity of care and evidence based practice for our community. You will work closely with the Allied Health Leadership Team supporting the Allied Health Team Managers in clinical aspects of recruitment, onboarding, professional development and waitlist management. You will contribute to the strategic planning of Allied Health including development of the Rural Generalist Capability Framework.
About the Team
Te Tai o Poutini West Coast Occupational Therapy Team consists of nine (when fully staffed) dynamic Occupational Therapists based in Greymouth, Westport & Hokitika who support our community throughout the West Coast (Karamea to Haast). The team covers all aspects of in-patients, out-patients and community settings including physical & mental health, working within a Rural Generalist model of care.
About you
You will be a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of five years clinical experience (ideally with a basic understanding of equipment procurement, physical & mental health, medical & surgical support, paediatrics) with a passion for leadership and developing the profession, ensuring equity of systems and evidence based practice in the Rural setting.
