About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Construction Broker to join our Auckland‑led team. In this role, you will work with a diverse portfolio of construction clients, guiding them through complex risks and ensuring they secure the coverage necessary for their success. This position is part of the National Specialism team—an industry leader in providing innovative insurance and risk management solutions for the construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Service Gallagher construction clients and support construction placements across Gallagher’s branch network.
• Drive organic growth in the Gallagher Construction Insurance portfolio.
• Identify opportunities for Gallagher to achieve uplift on its existing construction book.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with all insurance companies operating in this space.
• Support upskilling of Gallagher branch colleagues in Construction insurance.
• Keep abreast of all new technical and market developments in the Construction Insurance area and effectively communicate these amongst the Gallagher network as appropriate.
• Assist in management of challenging Construction Insurance claims.
• Work within a global team of over 1,000 dedicated construction specialists.
• Apply best business practice – ethically, professionally and with integrity in all circumstances so that Gallagher’s reputation and brand are never undermined.
• Work within the construction team to facilitate product development and management.
