We’re seeking a dynamic and skilled Team Leader to lead the delivery of the Attendance Service — supporting practitioners who work directly with whānau to strengthen relationships, improve wellbeing, and ensure the wellbeing and safety of Tamariki / rangatahi.
This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) role, based in Christchurch.
About the Role
- Referrals, case management processes, audits and day-to-day operations
- Fostering strong, high trust relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and whānau.
- Identifying and implementing appropriate interventions and resources
- Promoting services that enable the client to have sufficient support networks
- Promoting continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
- Monitor and guide performance to ensure service requirements are met
- Supporting staff development through coaching and training.
- Providing holistic support to Tamariki and their whānau who are chronically absent or not in education
What You’ll Bring
Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Education or similar (essential)Holds registration under the conditions of Section 13 of the Social Workers Registration Act (desirable)3+ years leadership and management experience (essential)Hold a full NZ drivers’ license (essential)Previous experience in case management, including meeting contractual key performance indicators (essential)Proven experience working with Tamariki and whānau with complex needs (essential)Have an understanding of the Children Sector, specifically the intersection of education and social services (essential)Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to culturally responsive practice.Financial acumenEmbody Our Values
