Clerical Administrator, Clinical Coding Service

About the Role

Were looking for a motivated Clerical Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our Clinical Coding Service. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that involves lifting and filing patient charts, so youll need to be physically fit, highly organised, and customer-focused.

Your day-to-day will be varied no two days are ever the same and youll play a vital role in keeping our records accurate, accessible, and well managed. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and based at Middlemore Hospital between the hours of 8am -5pm.

About You

Youre known for staying calm under pressure, thinking ahead, and being the go-to team member who always gets the job done. Your previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting means you understand the importance of accuracy, discretion, and responsiveness.

Key skills and experience youll bring include :

• Prior administrative experience in a health environment
• Physically fit enough to lift objects and walk for extended periods of time.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel intermediate level)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A positive, flexible `can-do attitude
