Project Manager / Sales Engineer

This role is ideally based in Napier however we are open to considering the successful applicant being based at one of our other NZ locations.

Our core products and services focus primarily on Energy Plant, (Boilers and Air Heaters), Timber Drying, Industrial Heating and Cooling, Air Movement and Filtration.

The Project Manager / Sales Engineer is responsible for both the conversion of opportunities into projects and the successful execution of projects in our Energy division, based in Napier Hawkes Bay. You’ll manage projects from outset to completion ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while managing stakeholder relationships.

The technical component of this role will draw on your engineering background to provide technical leadership and guidance to the wider Energy team, actively participate in design reviews and provide technical input to support and complement the overall project objectives.

During the Sales phase of projects, you will propose and develop solutions and prepare full commercial and technical tenders with supporting documentation.

This role offers an opportunity for a highly qualified individual with a broad engineering, sales and project leadership background to join our sales team. You will likely have the following skills or experience :

• Be a qualified and experienced engineer with experience in thermal plant
• Strong project leadership experience ideally within the engineering industry
• Proven technical sales experience within a business-to-business environment, developing and retaining business with key clients
• Experienced in assisting clients in the project concept phase
• Ability to produce process flow models and diagrams and cost estimation
• Sophisticated relationship building skills
• Be familiar with energy industry in NZ
