Overview

Lightspeed seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead a 100+ engineer team in Auckland, shaping our flagship retail platform with a focus on Point of Sale and wholesale selling. This role offers broad strategic responsibility across APAC and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with company goals
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
• Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality products
• Provide technical direction and guidance, and create a target‑state architecture for the team to drive toward
• Partner with the Auckland senior leadership team to enhance office culture and morale to attract and retain top talent
• Act as a spokesperson internally and externally across Auckland and globally
• Identify and fix the largest issues across technology, prioritising work and removing key roadblocks for the team
