As Duty Bar Manager you will be responsible for providing seamless service and overseeing the day-to-day operations of any of the Bars and Beverage Services at the Hermitage Hotel. This could include the Café, Snowline Bar, Panorama Restaurant, or Chamois Bar. The Duty Bar Manager leads by example through operational expertise, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to create an outstanding experience for guests.
The Duty Bar Manager implements initiatives to enhance the bar experience, including promotions and themed events, maintains high standards of beverage presentation, quality, and consistency, and ensures compliance with responsible service of alcohol policies and licensing regulations.
What will you be doing?
- Lead, mentor, and motivate bar staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Engage with customers to assess their satisfaction with the service.
- In collaboration with the department leadership team, plan and schedule the team to deliver a positive guest experience.
- Recruit, induct and develop all team members, as well as manage performance issues.
- Complete daily sales and management reports, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Make guest reservations, greet guests, and assist with taking orders as required.
- Maintain stock of beverage items to ensure continuity of service.
- Jump feet first into the day and help wherever is needed.
What will you bring to the role?
A minimum of 12 months’ experience in beverage service is required.Qualifications in hospitality are desired, e.g., a Duty Managers Certificate or the ability to obtain one with our support.Experience in training new team members.Knowledge of restaurant and beverage trends, cocktails, and bar operations.A strong desire to strive for excellence, with high attention to detail.Ability to work with grace under pressure and stress.The role and benefits
