Overview

Make a difference in an older person's daily life working as a Health Care Assistant.

The Role

You’ll put your practical skills and compassion into supporting residents with everyday activities such as personal care, assistance at mealtimes, and general care duties that make for happier, healthier living at an Enliven home. You will work hard, but there are few jobs that will give you the immense satisfaction of working for people who are grateful for your help and who contribute to an enriching working environment.

Hours

Permanent part‑time position; 7.5hrs / day, 1500‑2300hrs as rostered, 4 on 2 off.

About Us

Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) is a Charitable Trust established in 1906. Our Mission is to walk with people across the generations to create together places to live, learn, and thrive. We call out injustice and advocate for positive change. We operate a highly regarded network of eight other care homes across Otago and we provide many other community‑based social support programmes.

Our services for older people are provided by Enliven. We create elder‑centered communities where older people have companionship, meaningful activity, purpose, and fun in their lives. We strive for a family‑like environment for both residents and their loved ones.

Situated in the beautiful Alexandra, Ranui is home to 48 residents who are supported at hospital, rest home, and dementia level care. Castlewood is home to 20 residents who are supported at rest home level care. Our 4‑year MOH certification is a testament to our quality of systems, processes, and living & working environments.
