Kitchenhand

We seek a Kitchenhand to join our dynamic and bustling team in Whanganui. This opportunity offers a full-time role, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

Role Description : As a Kitchenhand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our kitchen. Your daily responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including but not limited to :

Diligently cleaning dishes, kitchen areas, and utensils in strict adherence to our comprehensive cleaning and infection control procedures.

Assisting with basic meat and vegetable preparation, ensuring ingredients are properly sorted and ready for cooking.

Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation within the kitchen environment.

Creating a tidy and safe working area, promoting a positive and efficient workspace.

Keeping track of food and equipment inventories, ensuring adequate supplies are available.

Assisting the Chef in preparing and cooking simple food items, frying, cutting, and heating as necessary.

Our Ideal Candidates Will Possess :

At least 6 months work experience in a similar business environment

The ability to excel in high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and effectiveness.

Good physical fitness levels to meet the demands of the role.
