About the role
As a Youth Vocational Training Specialist, you will teach and support Youth Guarantee students at Skills Institute. Your role is to deliver an engaging, motivational, and high quality learning experience that helps young people succeed in vocational pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging teaching aligned to lesson plans, delivery schedules, and diverse learning needs.
- Create or adapt teaching materials for different delivery modes and keep knowledge and skills up to date.
- Manage all assessments including marking, feedback, reassessment, rescheduling, and reporting completions, results, satisfaction, and required data.
- Support learner needs through appropriate guidance, referrals, follow up, and advice on further learning and pathways.
- Work collaboratively with Training Specialists and academic staff to ensure programmes are innovative, engaging, and meet student needs.
- Report programme outcomes to the Academic Lead, contribute to problem solving, communicate effectively, and participate in moderation and consistency reviews.
