Senior Water Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead the technical delivery of projects, problem solving and positive outcomes for clients across the Auckland water sector.

Establish a strong reputation and relationships with key clients such as Auckland Council Healthy Waters and Watercare, ensuring professional representation and that project execution is on time, to specification, high quality, and aligned with client expectations and outcomes.

Provide technical expertise and project leadership in stormwater, wastewater, and potable water infrastructure projects, accountable for project deliverables and for guiding other engineers on best practice and delivery.

Ensure a strong understanding of client needs, ways of working, and expectations, comply with client specifications, and grow the technical capability within the organisation while strengthening its standing in the sector through leadership and knowledge.

Accountable for contributing to the growth and strengthening of the Water Sector by working closely with the Sector Lead, Business Lead and Service Lead in both business development and client-facing capacities.

Act as a safety leader, ensuring implementation and adherence to safety plans, HSE legislation, codes, and best practices.
