As a Better Days Community‑Based Occupational Therapist, your day could include :
Primarily injury rehabilitation programs – coworking with Better Day’s tight‑knit team of physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and other IDT team members.Completing assessments with clients to determine the most appropriate programme for their needs.Broadening your clinical experience, adding to your skillset, and engaging with a wide variety of clinical presentations across the week.Achieving realistic KPIs in a manageable and sustainable daily workflow – control over your own diary.Visiting a variety of people in their homes or seeing clients in a clinic space, to assess their needs, design appropriate rehab plans, and advocate on their behalf. You may work with clients with a range of conditions including neurological conditions, orthopaedic conditions and many more.Collaborating with your interdisciplinary team to share knowledge and ideas.Reporting as required for external stakeholders.Celebrating “Wins” with your clients, their whānau, your colleagues, and your supportive Leadership Team.Attending fortnightly team hui in person at our Ellerslie office and regular connection with the team.Attending formal and informal opportunities for networking and learning and development both in New Zealand and Australia.About you
You are passionate about making a real difference!You have tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and are registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand.You have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in community rehab, ideally including paediatric caseloads.You have experience with Training for Independence programs and Assessment Services under ACC (ideal).You embody Better Days’ values and are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.You’re available to travel Auckland wide.You have your own car and a valid full, clean driver’s licence.You can provide evidence of your right to work in New Zealand.How to apply
