We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced global perspectives and social sciences teacher to join our team in a full-time, permanent role starting in
Initially, you'll teach Y7 and Y8, with the role expanding to include Y9 from
Key responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a spectrum of global social science modules, including but not limited to
Global perspectives
Financial literacy
Digital literacy
Global citizenship
Other relevant social studies topics
Develop curriculum that encourages critical thinking, research skills, and a global mindset in junior students.
Create a positive learning environment that fosters inquiry, creativity, and international understanding.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback that supports both academic growth and the development of essential life skills.
Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate on cross-curricular projects.
Teach a creative arts subject to Y7 and Y8 (in the afternoons), utilising your specific skills, experience, and interests (e.g., photography, drama, visual arts, music, food tech, etc.).
Qualifications
A qualified and experienced teacher with a strong track record in teaching social sciences, global studies, or related subjects at the junior secondary level.
A passion for innovative teaching and connecting local issues to a global context.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
The ability to create inspiring and academically rigorous lessons focused on real-world application.
Expertise in a creative arts discipline that can be taught to junior students is essential.
Familiarity with the Cambridge International Education framework is a significant advantage.
