Job Description This is a great opportunity to join Christchurch operations as a full-time employee, working 80 hours per fortnight.
This role requires flexibility for rostered shifts as we provide a 24 / 7 operation, therefore you need to be available to work a variety of possible workdays, weekends and available after hours.
We are looking for a responsible and reliable person to join the team who is able to follow all operating procedures thoroughly and safely.
Key responsibilities include : To provide assistance in tanker discharges or bunkering on the wharf and terminal duties as required.
Complete bunkering tasks on the wharf to ensure ships are filled appropriately by following correct processes and keeping accurate records.
Undertake terminal duties including assisting with maintenance when required, and any other relevant duties Complete all tasks in a manner that is consistent, safe to all personnel and the environment Hands on role, full training will be provided Qualifications If you have the below qualities, we are interested to hear from you : A reliable and committed team member who is able to work in a busy environment Demonstrated skill in following operating procedures including strict health and safety requirements Good verbal communication and able to maintain accurate written records Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Current full NZ drivers' licence Flexibility to work shifts and be on-call as required Additional Information Please note that this role Involves shift work, as we have a 24 / 7 operation.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test and background checks.
SGS will provide you with training with pay progression through successful completion.
